Is Snapchat that different and unique? 

Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and LinkedIn to name a few.  How social do we need to be?

The not so new kid on the block is Snapchat, which is facing quite a bit of competition from Instagram.   What does Snapchat offer that is so different we cannot get anywhere else from all these social media apps? 

Advertising is the biggest revenue for these apps.  If Snapchat’s user growth continues to lag Instagram’s, it could potentially lose the advertisers and therefore, damage its bottom line. 

Snapchat should come up with something truly unique; otherwise, they’ll continue to struggle to attract new users.  Failing to get new users means the company’s revenue will suffer and adversely affect its stock price.
